Photo Gallery of Necromunda minis from my collection

I'm a big fan of squad level skirmish games, and Necromunda was the first one I played.  I really enjoy the 3-D style of play encouraged by Necromunda, as you might guess from the ludicrous amount of terrain I tend to use in my setups.

House Delaque: I chose Delaques as my first gang, because I liked the minis and their house skills of stealth and agility led me to believe I could play them with ninja style finesse... little did I know at the time that I'd mostly end up just slugging it out like the rest of the gangs.  Still, I've played Delaques in at least three campaigns, and I think I now have at least one painted version of every Delaque pose except Autogun 2 and Shotgun 2 as well as several conversions to cover additional weapon configurations that I commissioned from Micah when he joined my last campaign. I currently have 22 painted Delaque minis in my collection.

House Escher:  I purchased most of my Escher gang at Pegasus Hobbies in Montclair, CA.  I visited their store before they started marketing their line of Pegasus Model Products (pre-painted figures and terrain) outside their store.  I currently have 17 painted Escher minis as well as the original Escher gang, Maskarra's Sirens, 6 of 12 featured in Citadel Journal 19, in my collection.

House Goliath:  My Goliath gang is still very small.  I generally favor finesse themes over brute force ones, but Matt Verzani's Goliaths were so beautifully done that I bought them when I had the chance.  I currently have 7 painted Goliath minis in my collection.

House Orlocks:  I don't have many Orlocks, because my friend collected and usually played them.  I really like the urban look of the Heavy that Micah painted.  I currently have 2 painted Orlock minis in my collection.

House Van Saar: I bought a painted Van Saar gang at a local gaming convention for a great price.  The gang was originally painted a bright green like the original box set studio examples, but I favored a darker Dune style still suit look. Leveraging the background info about Van Saar suits that "various spots on the material change colour to warn the wearer of airborne toxins and reduced oxygen levels", Micah inked those minis with blue to achieve a darker, camouflage-like effect without repainting the minis from scratch.  I currently have 17 painted Van Saar minis in my collection.

Outlander Ratskins: I like the spiritual background of the Ratskins, but I never fielded a Ratskin gang.  One of my friends joined my recent campaign with a Ratskin that has dominated almost every battle they have appeared in, but I think that's more a reflection of the player's skill than the Ratskin rules.  I currently have 6 painted Ratskin minis in my collection, and I have a Gorkamorka Digga mini that fits in well with the Ratskins.

Outlander Redemptionists: I bought a painted Redemptionist gang at a local gaming store for a good price.  I liked the unkempt white robes look over the bright red apparel featured in most Redemptionist gangs... it seemed to better portray the original theme of Outlaws living on the fringes of the Underhive as well as imply some notion of a vow of poverty .  I currently have 8 painted Redemptionist minis in my collection.

Characters, Hired Guns, and Others:  Mad Donna, Scabs, 2 Underhive Scum, 2 Wyrds, 4 Confrontation Hive Bratz, and 3 Rats.  Another 13 minis that round out the remainder of my painted Necromunda collection.

I tend to game with a group of friends, and we usually play multi-player scenarios (often two player scenarios played as two teams to speed group play). For my latest campaign, I wrote up a couple of multi-player scenarios that can be found in House Rules.

Campaign Opener Layout

A setup from a recent campain that I used to introduce some friends to Necromunda. We played teams of 2 gangs vs. 2 gangs. The layout was about 4 feet by 6 feet and included some newer terrain pieces.

Campaign Closer Layout

I expanded the campaign layout into a Titan factory where most of the battles occured. The layout is approximately 4 feet by 6 feet by 12 inches tall. There is a Delaque with Heavy Stubber facing 3 rats in the foreground to help provide a sense of scale.

Campaign Closer Layout

The same Titan factory setup from the other side of the table. Our intrepid Delaque with Heavy Stubber is standing on the top walkway near the titan. I gradually modified and added terrain as the campaign progressed... I had enough terrain that I didn't use the rubble pieces visible in the campaign opener setup.

Necromunda Blips

Used in a scenario I developed for my campaign closer. Check the House Rules link for more info.

Confrontation Hive Bratz

Left center is LE2 Hive Bratt Ganger, and right center is LE1 Hive Bratt Ganger, remaining minis unknown. Painted Goth style by UK Golden Demon Winner Chris Bliar and purchased from him via eBay.

Delaque Leader with Chainsword and Bolt Pistol

Wielding a pistol and close combat weapon is a popular choice for Necromunda gangers that want to maximize their hand-to-hand combat capability. Converted from Delaque Leader w/ Boltgun by Micah Fitzpatrick... the boltgun was carved down and a new barrel added.

Delaque Leader with Boltgun and Chainsword

Converted from Delque Leader w/ Boltgun & Axe to wield a chainsword instead of an axe by Micah Fitzpatrick. Micah's original concept for the jacket was a patent leather look with bright highlights, but I asked him to tone it down a bit... I really liked his idea for the urban camouflage pants, though.

Delaque Leader with Boltgun

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque Leader w/ Boltgun from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Heavy with Lascannon

Painted by Micah Fiztpatrick. Even though Necromunda inhabitants have lived underground for millenia, I prefer a little variety in skin tone.

Delaque Heavy with Heavy Stubber

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque Heavy Stubber from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Heavy with Flamer

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque Flamer.

Delaque Ganger with Boltgun

Converted from Delaque w/ Autogun 1 by Micah Fitzpatrick.

Delaque Ganger with Bolt Pistols

Gunfighter is a common skill for shooting gangs, and this was too cool to pass up. Scum w/ Bolt Pistols hair style converted to Delaque standard by Micah Fitzpatrick.

Delaque Ganger with Lasgun

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque w/ Lasgun 1 from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Ganger with Lasgun

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque w/ Lasgun 1 from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Ganger with Lasgun

Delaque w/ Lasgun 3 painted by Micah Fiztpatrick. Even though gang Necromunda gang members are supposed to dress alike, I prefer some variety in Delaque coats, and dark brown is a pretty common color for modern day leather coats.

Delaque Ganger with Lasgun

Delaque w/ Lasgun 4 painted by Micah Fiztpatrick. Apparently this guy decided the Delaque standard for baldness didn't apply to facial hair... I like the look.

Delaque Ganger with Shotgun

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque w/ Shotgun 1 from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Ganger with Autogun

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque w/ Autogun 1 from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Juve with Plasma Pistol

Converted from Delaque Juve w/ Stub Gun 1 model by Micah Fitzpatrick. Only the wealthiest of gangs would consider arming a Juve with a plasma pistol, but Gangers might have them, and Juves are easier to convert since they already wield pistols.

Delaque Juve with Bolt Pistol

Converted from Delaque Juve w/ Stub Gun 1 model by Micah Fitzpatrick. Most gangs wouldn't arm a Juve with a Bolt Pistol either, but it's a popular weapon choice.

Delaque Juve with Laspistol

Converted from Delaque Juve w/ Autopistol by Micah Fitzpatrick. Unless the gang is totally strapped for cash, I prefer laspistols, because they rarely run out of ammo.

Delaque Juve with Autopistol

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque Juve w/ Autopistol from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Juve with Stub Guns

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque Juve w/ Stub Guns.

Delaque Juve with Stub Guns

Since I seem to end up with more than one Delaque that has the Gunfighter skill during a campaign, this was the first Delaque I commisioned after purchasing the painted gang on eBay. Burt Takeuchi of Ronin Craftworks painted this with Asian skin tones and added a transitor to the base at my request (to help distinguish it from my other copy of the same model and add some variety to the gang).

Delaque Juve with Stub Gun

This was part of an eBay purchase of a Golden Demon Winner's gang. The model is Delaque Juve w/ Stub Gun 1 from the Necromunda House Delaque Gang Box set.

Delaque Juve with Stub Gun and Knife

Delaqe Juve w/ Stub Gun 2 model painted by Micah Fiztpatrick. This is one of the few models wielding a firearm left handed.

The Original Escher Gang: Maskarra's Sirens

Paul (Fat Bloke) Sawyer's playtest Eschers, purchased on eBay with provenance. This is a scan from the back cover of Citadel Journal 19.

More Maskarra's Sirens

Not featured in Citadel Journal 19, but purchased in the same auction. I think the sword was supposed to be "attached" to the belt on the back hip of the center model but came unglued.

More Maskarra's Sirens

Not featured in Citadel Journal 19, but purchased in the same auction. Anyone have more info on these models, like what names each character had?

Escher Leader with Autopistol and Sword

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Leader w/ Autopistol model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Heavy with Heavy Plasma

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Heavy Plasma model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Heavy with Heavy Stubber

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Heavy Stubber model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Ganger with Lasgun & Stub Gun

I bought this Escher w/ Autogun & Stub gun model with the autogun converted to a lasgun with bayonet on eBay, but I don't remember the artist's name.

Escher Ganger with Autogun and Laspistol

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Autogun & Stub Gun model with the stub gun converted to a laspistol by unknown artist.

Escher with Plasma Pistols

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Plasma Pistol & Club model with club converted to another pistol by unknown artist. I can't really figure out what the second pistol is, but the shape and crackling energy paint job probably imply a plasma pistol more than anything else.

Escher Ganger with Autogun and Stub Gun

I probably bought this Escher w/ Autogun & Stub Gun model on eBay, but I don't remember the artist's name.

Escher Ganger with Lasgun

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Lasgun 1 model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Ganger with Lasgun

I probably bought this Escher w/ Lasgun 2 model on eBay, but I don't remember the artist's name.

Escher Ganger with Shotgun

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Shotgun model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Ganger with Bolt Pistol and Grenade

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Bolt Pistol & Grenade model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Ganger with Autopistol and Chainsword

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Autopistol & Chainsword model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Ganger with Autopistol and Sword

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher w/ Autopistol & Sword model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Juve with Laspistol and Pick

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Juve w/ Stub Gun & Pick model with stub gun converted to laspistol painted by unknown artist. This was probably a campaign related conversion shortly before the gang was sold, because the laspistol is unpainted.

Escher Juve with Autopistol and Club

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Juve w/ Autopistol & Club model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Juve with Autopistol

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Juve w/ Autopistol model painted by unknown artist.

Escher Juve with Stub Gun

Purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang. Escher Juve w/ Stub Gun model painted by unknown artist.

Mad Donna

Former Escher turned Bounty Hunter, purchased from Pegasus Hobbies as part of gang painted by unknown artist.

Goliath Leader with Chainsword and Grenade Launcher

1990's Goliath Leader with Chainsword and Grenade Launcher painted by Matt Verzani. Notice the mohawk has four stripes which actually end in diamonds that match the pattern on his pants on the top.

Goliath Bounty Hunter

Goliath Bounty Hunter, wielding shotgun and mace, painted by Micah Fitzpatrick to have a slightly darker skin tone.

Goliath Heavy with Heavy Stubber

1990's Goliath Heavy Stubber painted by Matt Verzani. The mohawk has three stripes. These were actually based on grass, and I was impressed with Matt's idea to insert wire as a pipe when I asked if the basing could be converted to rubble.

Goliath Ganger with Hand Flamer

1990's Goliath with Hand Flamer painted by Matt Verzani. The mohawk has two stripes. I bought these from Matt as a gang, and I really liked the way he used the hair to denote gang rank.

Goliath Ganger with Lasgun and Stub Gun

1990's Goliath with Lasgun and Stub Gun painted by Matt Verzani. The mohawk has two stripes. The five o'clock shadow is cool.

Goliath Ganger with Shotgun

1990's Goliath with Shotgun painted by Matt Verzani. The mohawk has two stripes.

Goliath Ganger with Autogun

1990's Goliath with Autogun painted by Matt Verzani. The mohawk has two stripes. Although not entirely visible in the photo, the heart tatoo on his right shoulder says "MOM".

Goliath Juve with Laspistol

1990's Goliath Juve with Laspistol 1 painted by Micah Fitzpatrick to blend with Matt's style, but I asked for a different skin tone.

Goliath Juve with Stub Gun

1990's Goliath Juve with Stub Gun painted by Matt Verzani.

Orlock Heavy with Heavy Stubber

Painted by Micah Fitzpatrick.

Orlock Ganger with Autogun

Orlock with Autogun 1 model painted by Burt Takeuchi of Ronin Craftworks. Given to me by a friend.

Van Saar Leader with Melta-gun and Chainsword

1990's Van Saar Leader with Meltagun model, purchased as part of a gang at a gaming convention and inked to darken the armor.

Van Saar Leader with Plasma Pistol and Chainsword

1990's Van Saar Leader with Plasma Pistol model, purchased as part of a gang at a gaming convention and inked to darken the armor.

Van Saar Leader with Plasma Pistol and Chainsword

1990's Van Saar Leader with Plasma Pistol model, purchased as part of a gang at a gaming convention and inked to darken the armor.

Van Saar Heavy with Heavy Plasma

1990's Van Saar Heavy Plasma model painted by Micah Fitzpatrick.

Van Saar Heavy with Heavy Stubber

1990's Van Saar Heavy Stubber model painted by Micah Fitzpatrick.

Van Saar Ganger with Plasma Gun

Van Saar Body 2 with the left head from Van Saar Head Sprue 1. Converted to wield Plasma Gun from Enforcer Assault Weapon Sprue by Micah Fitzpatrick. Since Var Saar House skills include Techno skills, Van Saar Gangers and Juves frequently pick up the the Specialist skill.

Van Saar Ganger with Plasma Gun

Van Saar Body 2 with the left head from Van Saar Head Sprue 2. Converted to wield Plasma Gun from Enforcer Assault Weapon Sprue by Micah Fitzpatrick. A variant to distinguish it from the other Plasma Gun mini.
